INTRODUCTION

UTP Research Paper Conference 2011 (URPC 2011) is a student conference held by Innovation and Design Club (IDEC) in collaboration with the Students Representatives Council of UTP (SRCUTP 10/11). The main objectives of URPC 2011 are to bring up the excellence in Undergraduate research, to inculcate the awareness on the importance of Research and Development amongst students towards the future of mankind and to share and discuss the new findings, innovations and knowledge among students and lecturers.

ELIGIBILITY

We accept submissions from undergraduates/ foundations of all fields of learning in UTP.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
  1. Only single author per paper is allowed.
  2. Contributor(s) and supervisor(s) must be acknowledged.
  3. The paper must be typed in Times New Roman font 10 with single spacing and two columns per page.
  4. The full paper must not less than 1000 words.
  5. It must not exceed 8000 words and 7 pages.
  6. The paper must be written in English.
  7. Acceptance of the papers will be communicated to the corresponding author.
  8. Upon acceptance, the authors have to submit the presentation slides to urpc.utp@gmail.com  by 22nd July 2011.
  9. The slides must be in power point form.
  10. The maximum number of the slides allowed is 10 - 15 slides.
  11. The slides must include abstract, introduction, methodology, result, conclusion and any supporting diagram(s).
  12. The presentation will be held parallel in different seminar halls according to different categories/disciplines.
  13. Each presentation will take 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q& A session.
